Coordinates information and resources within the region and between the SEMS state and regional levels to ensure effective and efficient support to local response. The Coastal region serves the counties on the coast from Del Norte to Monterey and the counties surrounding SF Bay. Coastal OES serves as the conduit for local and regional perspective and provide a physical presence for Cal EMA functions at the local level in all phases of emergency management. OES also coordinates the response efforts of state and local agencies to ensure maximum effect with minimum overlap and confusion. Additionally, OES coordinates the integration of federal resources into state and local response and recovery operations.
