Rabies Control | Contra Costa County Animal Services Department

Provides a variety of animal services which include dog licensing and leash enforcement, spay/neuter services and immunizations, adoption, impoundment of stray animals including livestock and rabies control (quarantine and bite reports), animal rescue and rattlesnake calls. Provides dead animal pick-up and disposal, limited service for injured or sick wildlife. Offers public information and education for schools and community groups regarding safe handling and humane care of animals and pet emergency preparedness.

Provides a variety of animal services which include dog licensing and leash enforcement, a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and immunizations, adoption, impoundment of stray animals including livestock and rabies control (quarantine and bite reports), animal rescue and rattlesnake calls. Call for spay/neuter clinic and vaccinations. In addition, issues permits to maintain a dangerous animals and provides dead animal pick-up and disposal, limited service for injured or sick wildlife, public information and education for schools and community groups, and safety around dogs instruction to field personnel whose employment may involve contact with dogs. Provide public education regarding safe handling and humane care of animals and pet emergency preparedness.
