Early Head Start | Head Start Programs - Contra Costa County Community Services Bureau
Offers free or low cost child care services based on income and family size. Provides early education, health, mental health, nutrition, social services, and parenting classes for low-income families with children from birth to age five. The Head Start and Early Head Start programs are home based and center based; designed to maximize opportunities for each child to develop social and cultural competence.

According to income; fee's are paid directly to center.

Eligibility
Children age 0-4 years old. Families must meet eligibility of one of the following; experiencing homelessness, foster or CWS referral, current cash aid recipient or income eligible. For full day services the family must also be able to establish a need for child care.
