Eligibility
Contra Costa resident and a US citizen, refugee, asylee, legal permanent resident or Cuban/Haitian entrant; households with at least one person age 60 or older. A person who is not a US citizen, refugee, asylee, legal permanent resident or Cuban/Haitian entrant but has children (0-18), may apply for their children if they are eligible. Clients assets do no count or affect eligibility. All requirements are reviewed during the application interview. Call for specific eligibility questions.
Starting June 1st, 2026 there are new work requirement's in order to be eligible for CalFresh Benefits in California. Please call or check website for specific information regarding this update.
