Distributes food to over 180 charitable agencies throughout Contra Costa and Solano counties, including soup kitchens and emergency food pantries, which provide free food to county residents in crisis situations, and to agencies such as low-income child care centers and schools for the disabled that prepare meals for a particular group of disadvantaged individuals. Coordinates monthly distribution of free government surplus commodities (Food Assistance Program), Senior Food Program which provides supplemental food items twice a month to low-income seniors, age 55 and over. Provides 15-25 pounds of fresh produce twice per month to qualified low income families at various distribution sites. Offers Food for Children program for kids 4-6 who are referred by WIC or other community agency.

Food Vouchers | Medi-Cal/CalFresh Service Center - CCC EHSD

Starting Monday, November 10th. Provides SNAP/EBT funds on a separate debit card to families who did not receive November benefits by Monday, November 10th at 12pm noon. Benefits will be evaluated and distributed on a case-by-case basis to prevent benefit duplication. Debit cards will be distributed at 4 EHSD offices in Contra Costa County. Food Vouchers | St. John Vianney - St. Vincent de Paul

Provides a food cards for Walnut Creek or Concord residents and needs based services which may include; utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing or household/furniture items.
