Educates, empowers, and motivates people navigating behavioral health services to engage in their own individual wellness, recovery, and resiliency and become active in the community. Facilitates SPIRIT program which trains people with lived experience of behavioral health challenges (peers) and family members who have navigated services in support of their loved ones necessary skills to become peer support specialists in the system of care. It has both a classroom and an on-the-job internship component, and students receive nine hours of credit through Contra Costa College.
