Provides health insurance for children, ages 0-19, who are not eligible for Medi-Cal or health care coverage that is paid for, in any part, by an employer, or financial help through Covered California. Household income is no more than 3 times the federal poverty level (call for amount). The plan includes doctor visits, prescriptions, mental health services, lab work, dental care; some of these services have a small co-pay. Parent/guardian does not need to be a Kaiser member.

HICAP Volunteer Counselors provide free, confidential, counseling service to directly assist eligible individuals better understand their Medicare benefits and services. Medicare benefits including Prescription Drug Plan Coverage, low income plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplemental options, Medicare Savings Programs Medicare and Medi-Cal (dually eligible) benefits, and long-term care insurance. HICAP provides information on long-term care planning and issues concerning long-term care. HICAP can also assist with referring Medicare matters involving Medicare appeals or insurance that require legal support.

Provides children and youth who do not have medical insurance, are under 19 years of age, live in California, and have a have family incomes at or below 200% of federal income guidelines, regular preventive health assessments. CHDP coordinates follow-up of identified health problems, and refers those with suspected health problems for necessary diagnosis and treatment. The program provides well-child exams for children 1 month and older, involved in sports who need a 'regular' yearly physical, have a history of prenatal problems, or with significant developmental disabilities.

Provides low cost affordable health coverage for middle-income pregnant women. Coverage under MCAP costs only 1.5% of your adjusted net annual income and is billed to you over a 12 month period. Coverage is for pregnant women who do not have health insurance OR have private insurance with a maternity-only deductible or copayment greater than $500 and, are not eligible for no-cost Medi-Cal or Medicare Part A and Part B; and, have family household income above no-cost Medi-Cal.
