Provides information and encouragement through telephone counseling and monthly virtual meetings to women who want to breast feed their babies. Prospective members are welcome to attend meetings before joining the organization. Mothers with special circumstances such as mothers of multiple births and mothers of babies with birth defects are offered support and information. Call or check website for dates and times.

Offers a supplemental nutrition program that helps low income pregnant women, mothers with infants, infants, and young children eat well, be active and stay healthy. Provides supplemental food benefits using a WIC card. Offers nutrition and breastfeeding support and education, and referrals to other health and community services. Offers a doula service and a doula training program in Contra Costa County operated through a partnership with Contra Costa County's Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI). Provides a free training program for community members to become doulas. Doula program offers prenatal home visits, prenatal care appointment support, birth planning, labor and delivery support, postpartum home visits breastfeeding assistance, infant care overview/instruction, perinatal depression screening and linkage and referrals to health and social services.

Offers home visiting services for prenatal and postpartum families in Contra Costa County. Services include information about pregnancy, infant care, safety, monthly socializations, helping to navigate the medical system and community resources that may be of interest. Special focus on helping parents to understand child development over the first two years of child's life through a structured, home-based curriculum.

Provides dependable breastfeeding information and support to Contra Costa County women including answers to breastfeeding questions, follow-up support (warmline consultants will continue support of a breastfeeding mother to help her resolve breastfeeding problems), referrals to WIC Breastfeeding Counselors (for WIC participants only), referrals to in-person lactation support, and referrals to other services as appropriate. Staffed by volunteers who are experts on breastfeeding and related issues, all calls made to the warmline are responded to within 24 hours, 7 days a week.
