Provides services across four areas (income, assets, wellness, and social connections) to low-income parents and those with a history of incarceration or probation seeking coaching, workshops, and assistance in obtaining employment, launching a career, building a budget, repairing credit, resolving legal issues, applying for public benefits, and becoming a better parent or neighbor. Additional services include, job readiness placement, on-the-job training, legal services addressing barriers to employment, financial education, debt repayment guidance, behavioral health services and referral, health education workshops, health insurance enrollment and navigation as well as social connections to support in building and maintaining a professional network.

Economic Self Sufficiency Programs | Mujeres, Salud y Liderezgo (Latina Women's Healthy Leadership) - The Latina Center

Offers support and education on a variety of issues including leadership engagement opportunities. Services include, time management, money management, networking opportunities and support groups. Participants are encouraged to engage and start a project which will address a need in their community; examples are nutrition, diabetes, psychical activity education, financial education, art or cultural issues. Participants attend for a year and receive a certificate of completion. Annually the center coordinates a legislative day in which participants visit legislative representatives in Sacramento.
