Brighter Beginnings Family Health Clinic in Downtown Antioch provides accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare to all, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Our services include pediatric care (well visits, sick visits, and immunizations), comprehensive prenatal care, and family planning/reproductive health services. Provides confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections for all ages and genders. Provides COVID-19 testing.

Provides screening, diagnosis, prevention and treatment services for STD including syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis and herpes. Legal immigration status is not a requirement to receive services.

Provides low cost affordable health coverage for middle-income pregnant women. Coverage under MCAP costs only 1.5% of your adjusted net annual income and is billed to you over a 12 month period. Coverage is for pregnant women who do not have health insurance OR have private insurance with a maternity-only deductible or copayment greater than $500 and, are not eligible for no-cost Medi-Cal or Medicare Part A and Part B; and, have family household income above no-cost Medi-Cal.

Age-appropriate topics range from bullying prevention and safe touching, to bystander education, to dating violence, sexual assault and sexual exploitation. Offers self-defense training for women and girls. The Prevention team also works with college campuses to prevent sexual violence, and is available for community training on these topics.

Offers a doula service and a doula training program in Contra Costa County operated through a partnership with Contra Costa County's Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI). Provides a free training program for community members to become doulas. Doula program offers prenatal home visits, prenatal care appointment support, birth planning, labor and delivery support, postpartum home visits breastfeeding assistance, infant care overview/instruction, perinatal depression screening and linkage and referrals to health and social services.

Provides van service for Lamorinda seniors and people with disabilities. Lamorinda Spirit Van picks up riders at their home and provides rides to appointments, errands and shopping in Concord, Lafayette, Orinda, Lamorinda, Martinez, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek.

Works in partnership with the emergency management agencies of Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada, as well as the territories of American Samoa and Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.
