The DVLC workshop provides training, teaching materials (a nominal fee) plus ongoing support to those who complete the 2-day workshop. DVLC produces a quarterly newsletter and get-together events throughout the year. Tutor training workshops are held twice a year in the spring and in the fall.

Provides free pregnancy tests, mentoring, community resources, pregnancy and parenting information, and maternity and baby items.

Provides 15 to 20 pounds of fresh produce two times per month to qualifying households that are in need of food assistance. Produce is distributed from the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Mobile Trucks.

Offers a variety of exercise/fitness classes for children, teens and adults. Classes include, yoga, tai chi, zumba, and meditation. Classes may fill up fast or may be cancelled depending on registration.

Administers a preschool, two elementary schools and one middle school serving Byron and Discovery Bay.

Provides needs based services which may include; food, utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing and furniture.

Accepts donations and sells: clothing, collectibles, jewelry, housewares, linens, and books at greatly reduced prices. All work is performed by volunteers. Proceeds support the Contra Costa Crisis Center.
