Provides resource referral, navigation and benefits application assistance. Benefit assistance includes CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKS, General Assistance, and Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI).

Provides programs to prepare high school juniors and seniors and adult learners for careers. High school students should inquire with their school counselor. Adult classes are offered in these areas: Communications, Computer Technology, Health & Human Services, Industrial/Engineering Technology at schools offering Adult Education Programs.

Provides fire suppression, emergency medical including paramedic, rescue, fire/arson investigation, building plan review, code enforcement, public education on fire and life safety, and weed abatement to Antioch, Clayton, Concord, Lafayette, Martinez, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, San Pablo, Walnut Creek, and most unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County. Division is comprised of four Battalions consisting of 30 fire stations. The communications center provides dispatch services for most of the county.

Provides first/multiple offenders program which addresses the problems of drinking and driving, and serves as an early identification and early intervention mechanism for individuals who have a dependency on alcohol, and who have been convicted of first/multiple offense drunk driving. Fulfills court requirements for DUI offenders.

Provides home ownership assistance by helping individuals refinance predatory loans leading to foreclosure. Refinance eligibility is listed on website or can be obtained by phone. If eligible, individual must attend workshop as the first step in gaining assistance; the workshops usually take place on a Saturday for four hours. They provide detailed information for a participant to become NACA Qualified or mortgage-ready. In addition to the workshop, a Mortgage Submission form must be completed either online or at the office.

Provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue, public education, training and hazardous conditions to Brentwood, Oakley, Discovery Bay, Bethel Island, Knightsen, Byron, Marsh Creek, and Morgan territory.

Provides technology access for adults and children with disabilities including services that support adults in finding and retaining jobs and creating accessible work environments, with school districts to ensure that children with disabilities have access to assistive technology, including computers, that work for them; with seniors to assist them in the right assistive technology, with the California Department of Rehabilitation to provide computer access evaluations and equipment recommendations to their clients, and with organizations and business to provide creative and cost effective solutions to work site access issues geared toward assisting adults with disabilities in employment situations.

Offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to assist with data entry, making phone calls, copying, filing, preparing meeting materials, meal preparation, filling envelops, organizing and assisting with internet technology needs.

Classes include health and fitness, arts and crafts, first aid and safety, and sports and martial arts. Manages the Town of Danville's parks and recreation areas, community facilities, sports and recreation activities and classes. Publishes quarterly Activity Guide to show available activities.

Provides free legal services for Contra Costa seniors age 60+ including advice, counsel and representation in civil legal matters, such as: elder abuse, consumer matters, housing, income maintenance as well as advance health care directives and durable power of attorney. Special Free Wills Clinic and Consult-an-Attorney Programs conducted at selected Senior Centers throughout the County; Pro Bono Program conducted to assist in placing eligible clients with private attorneys where possible. Accepts applications for and provides CalFresh benefits for eligible households. The CalFresh program is a nutrition assistance program in which eligible low income households can purchase food at participating grocery stores with the use of an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that looks like a credit or debit card. Someone can be eligible if they own a home, have no children, are working, own a vehicle, or have no permanent address. People who need assistance meeting their food needs are encouraged to apply for CalFresh, income limits apply. Provides a youth development program for boys and girls, K-19, that focuses on citizenship, leadership and life skills. Projects are hands-on, researched based and fun. The program is administered by the University of California, a land-grant institution. Contra Costa's program is offered via eleven community clubs and in collaboration with after-school programs.

Provides free clinical breast exams and mammograms, to women age 40 and older, under 40 with medical concerns and have an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty.

Provides a food pantry to eligible households every 30 days.

Provides a variety of services for burn/fire survivors including: camps for children, young adults and adults supportive services, back-to-school program to help burn survivors with scars return to school, workshops and conferences. Also provides burn survivors with resources information and when possible some financial assistance if needed. Program connects burn survivors to facilitated peer support.

Provides children with disabilities a recreation assistants to enable them to attend traditional after school care programs. It is open to children in grades K-8. UCPGG pays for the recreation assistant and the participating family is only responsible for the traditional charges of the after school program that they choose.
