Provides volunteer opportunities to individuals age 18+, interested in providing friendly visits and phone calls to home-bound and frail elderly offering friendship, socialization, personal support, companionship and practical help in order to help relieve loneliness and isolation. Volunteers provide one or more hours service per week.

Operates automotive repair and smog check station licensing units and several programs related to automotive repair and vehicle emissions including the Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) which assists consumers needing Smog Check repairs to bring their vehicles into compliance with emissions standards. CAP allows qualified motorists to receive financial assistance for emissions-related repairs from the state. Eligible consumers can receive payment to retire their high-polluting vehicle. The Bureau of Automotive Repair takes complaints against auto repair shops and smoking vehicles; helps consumers to locate hard-to-find emissions parts, and offers a free auto body inspection program. Provides psychosocial and educational support to cancer patients and their caregivers as an adjunct to conventional medical treatment. Offers a variety of support groups, educational workshops, stress reduction classes, social events and programs available for children of cancer patients. Each wireless service provider in California has different service offerings, calling features and contractual arrangements. Provides hotline runaway and homeless youth offering shelter options, mediation, information and referral, and phone or in-person counseling. Provides free, immediate help to youth ages 0-17, including immediate housing in a foster home, crisis counseling, family mediation, transportation and referrals. Center is a Safe Place site. If a longer stay is needed, the youth would likely be placed in a foster home for shelter. SAFE Place is not a long-term shelter.

Offers a coordinated statewide, regional, and county-level system designed to provide collaborative and timely state-level phone-based response and county-level in-home, in-person mobile response during situations of instability, to preserve the relationship of the caregiver and the child or youth. Service includes a toll-free hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week staffed with counselors trained in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques for children and youth impacted by trauma.
