Program also known as "Laura's Law" is for people with severe and persistent mental illness who need treatment to prevent substantial deterioration of their condition, and who may pose a risk to themselves or others. Contra Costa County has adopted Laura's Law for individuals who decline care or struggle to engage in treatment when offered. Laura's Law is a discretionary state law that allows counties to use the civil court system to supervise care. The court process is only used after every effort has been made to encourage individuals who need treatment to voluntarily participate. Program is not for crisis intervention.

Offers an early intervention program model that offers opportunities for individual learning within a natural group environment through the implementation of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) practices for children 18 months to 3 years with autism or at-risk for autism. Uses ESDM practices of daily routines and play-based activities to facilitate developmental sequences in young children with autism or at risk for autism similar to their typically developing peers. Aims to help minimize the developmental delays associated with early autism and increases young children’s developmental growth in the cognitive, social-emotional, communication, fine, and gross motor developmental areas. Service is provided in a classroom based environment and meets 5 days per week from 8:30am-12:00pm.

During a disaster or emergency crisis, Amateur Radio operators set up and operate organized communication networks locally for governmental and emergency officials, as well as non-commercial communication for private citizens affected by the disaster. Amateur Radio operators are most likely to be active after disasters that damage regular lines of communications due to power outages and destruction of telephone, cellular and other infrastructure-dependent systems.
