Community-based mental health service program for young adults (16-26) living in Western to Central Contra Costa County. Serve's Medi-Cal recipients who are experiencing mental health challenges often in addition to homelessness, substance use issues or histories of trauma and abuse. Services include therapy, case management, living skills support, medication management, participant groups and peer mentoring.  CCTAY works in close collaboration with Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services.  

Due to the current pandemic all classes are held virtually.Provides free program in which tutors and learners work one-on-one or in small groups to improve learners literacy (ability to read and write). LEAP's purpose is to help adults develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve their individual goals. The program is sponsored by the Richmond Public Library.

Provides limited intake for Christian based full-time year long program. Services include, meals, case management, spiritual counseling. Accepts walk-ins until 5pm.

Accepts applications for county cremation (interments) in person or over the phone. Only one application can be made per decedent. The GA worker determines based on financial eligibility if the interment request is granted. Answer's a 24-hour consumer hotline that provides support for California's investor-owned energy customers who need assistance identifying support programs to lower utility bills, or guidance on identifying assistance programs that help with outstanding balances. Help's customers who are facing issues with their utility company and need support in their advocacy to resolve issues related to their utility service. Works at the intersection of regulatory and legislative policy ensuring that customers of California's major investor-owned utilities receive quality affordable energy, phone and broadband. Agency does not provide direct financial assistance.

Provides couples, families, or individuals living in their vehicles, a safe parking lot to park nightly. Safe parking lot program is a year-round program able to accommodate 15 cars per night.

Provides hotline to report CalFresh or CalWorks fraud. Anyone who observes or has knowledge of suspicious Welfare benefits activity can anonymously call the hotline and leave a message.

Provides outpatient methadone and buprenorphine detoxification, outpatient methadone and buprenorphine maintenance, individual and group counseling and addiction services for adult opiate addicted population age 18+, pregnant women and HIV with opiate addiction. Also provides self-help groups such as Methadone Anonymous; must be a client of BAART for additional counseling and groups.

Accepts applications for and provides CalFresh benefits for eligible households. The CalFresh program is a nutrition assistance program in which eligible low income households can purchase food at participating grocery stores with the use of an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that looks like a credit or debit card. Someone can be eligible if they own a home, have no children, are working, own a vehicle, or have no permanent address. People who need assistance meeting their food needs are encouraged to apply for CalFresh, income limits apply. Health Care for the Homeless is working closely with CORE teams to provide health care in specific locations. Callers must check website for location and days of clinics.

Provides free legal services for Contra Costa seniors age 60+ including advice, counsel and representation in civil legal matters, such as: elder abuse, consumer matters, housing, income maintenance as well as advance health care directives and durable power of attorney. Special Free Wills Clinic and Consult-an-Attorney Programs conducted at selected Senior Centers throughout the County; Pro Bono Program conducted to assist in placing eligible clients with private attorneys where possible. Contra Costa Senior Legal Services does not provide assistance in Criminal Law, Family Law (with the exception of elder abuse), Immigration Law, Personal Injury, Probate or Tax matters. Provides legal information and provides presentations to community groups Advance Health Care Directives, Powers of Attorney, and Prevention of Elder Abuse.

Borrowers can be first-time and non-first time home buyers. Offers programs to help with foreclosure mortgage delinquency to those who have suffered an economic hardship.

Offers administrative/clerical volunteer opportunities which support an assigned work unit within the department. Duties may include filing, data entry, copying, shredding of documents and other clerical duties as assigned.

Offers opportunities for individuals to gain computer, professional, and life skills for administrative careers. The cohort-based program includes 12 weeks of computer and life skills classes, followed by a 4-month paid internship, job placement assistance, and alumni career support. Recruit for the Administrative Career Training program is three times per year; January, May, and September.

Provides telephone and email peer-counseling as well as factual LGBTQIA+ information and local resources for cities and towns across the United States. Callers of all ages are able to talk about coming-out issues, relationship concerns, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer-sex information and many other topics. Maintains a database that contains information with LGBTQ information and local resources across the United States. Also has a separate Youth Talkline manned by volunteers who are in their teens and early twenties that speak with other teens and young adults up to the age of 25 about LGBTQIA+ issues and concerns. Youth chatrooms and peer support chat is also available online.

Provides services to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to all of the educational offerings at Diablo Valley College. Offers appropriate support services, curriculum, instruction and adaptive technology.

Collaborates with the City of Richmond, other public agencies, nonprofit partners, and civic and private groups for outreach and encampment organizing among unsheltered people across West Contra Costa County. Offers wellness center which provides basic needs services including access to shower, laundry, food, clothing, water, transportation and connections to community resources, and outreach and engagement including trash cleanup. Provides workforce clinic, free classes, for resume and cover letter preparation, and job readiness as well as job search assistance. Employs unhoused individuals to steward neighborhoods and accompany unhoused neighbors on their journey from tent to home. If client does not have transportation, they can contact Neighbor Care line for the SOS Richmond shuttle.
