In addition to funding career training, the San Pablo EDC prepares job seekers to attain and retain employment through free career development workshops, free business attire and financial education. Provides a variety of programs for families with young children, age 0-5. Information on HMG playgroups and various activities available on website. . Offers virtual and in-person parenting classes and workshops and online activities for families such as art, music and more. Clients can meet with a community resource specialist and socialize with other parents. Center offers Kinder Readiness classes, ages and stages questionnaire and virtual HMG playgroup.

Offers support groups for cancer patients, family members and their families.

Provides home safety modifications to seniors in order to prevent falls. Installs small safety items such as grab bars, railings, shower chairs, etc. Also holds classes to prevent falls and promote balance, in-person classes are held once a week for two hours each week, for 8 weeks.

Provides comprehensive low cost general dental care; fees may be 20% lower than those of many private offices in our immediate area. Dental services include fillings, dentures, crowns and bridges, root canals, oral surgery and limited periodontal work. Dental work is performed by students and residents under supervision of the University of Pacific faculty and staff. Services do not include orthodontics, extraction of wisdom teeth or treatment of patients who have had procedures started elsewhere.

Provides abortion services, birth control services, emergency contraception, HIV testing, HPV & hepatitis vaccines, LGBT services, men's health services, patient education, pregnancy testing, options & services, STD testing & treatment, and women's health services including breast and cervical cancer exams.

Provides dental restoration to individuals who have received dental injuries to the front 8 teeth from former intimate artner or spouse, family member, sexual violence or is a victim of human trafficking. The individual must have been out of the abusive relationship for over one year. All applicants must have at least one interview to connect them with local resources, to confirm that the injuries were caused by domestic violence, and that the applicant has been out of the abusive relationship for at least one year. A signature from the counselor, advocate, social worker, or case manager must be provided on the application for acceptance into the program. A survivor whose smile is compromised due to injury and not due to previous neglect. The dentist makes the final determination of this aspect.

Provides free bags and sand to Concord residents; up to 25 bags per resident. Sandbags, shovels, and sand is provided.

Educates, empowers, and motivates people navigating behavioral health services to engage in their own individual wellness, recovery, and resiliency and become active in the community. Facilitates SPIRIT program which trains people with lived experience of behavioral health challenges (peers) and family members who have navigated services in support of their loved ones necessary skills to become peer support specialists in the system of care. It has both a classroom and an on-the-job internship component, and students receive nine hours of credit through Contra Costa College.

Advocates for abused and neglected children currently involved in the Juvenile Court process by providing these children with advocacy services. Services are provided by trained volunteers who are appointed by the Court.

Provides a program for adults with severe or multiple intellectual and developmental disabilities. Tailors individual programs to help these adults actively participate in their own communities. Offers community awareness training, recreation and leisure skills development, domestic skills, and a vocational program.

Provides free legal services to help low and moderate income residents address discrimination and other problems in accessing financial services which consist of bank accounts, loans, debt collection, credit reporting problems, estate planning, foreclosure prevention and homeowner problems including escrow and HOA issues.

Provides individual counseling to residents of Contra Costa County who are age 55+. Counseling service is provided by trained volunteers who are 55+ and usually occurs in the home or at a senior center location, once a week for an hour, for a duration of 8-12 weeks. Arranges and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation for eligible children and youth up to age 21 who have eligible medical conditions (such as congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, cancers, tumors, hemophilia, sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, thyroid problems, PKU, or diabetes that is difficult to control, serious kidney problems, liver problems such as biliary atresia, cleft lip/palate, spina bifida, eye problems leading to loss of vision such as glaucoma and cataracts, and hearing loss, cerebral palsy, uncontrolled epilepsy/seizures, rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, HIV infection, severe head, brain or spinal cord injuries, and severe burns, disabling injuries and poisonings requiring inpatient hospital treatment, complications of premature birth requiring an intensive level of care, severe hemangioma, severely crooked teeth) and whose families are unable to pay for all or part of their care. Provides day services for individuals experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness. Services include hot breakfast and lunch, showers, laundry facilities, donated clothing, and mail services. Member advocates assist individuals with obtaining vital documents, developing practical life skills, preparing for housing, navigating community resources, and connecting with community partners that provide transitional and permanent supportive housing. New and returning members may complete a Housing Needs Assessment during intake through Contra Costa County Coordinated Entry for consideration in the countywide housing queue. Does not operate as a year-round shelter. Individuals seeking local shelter referrals are directed to 211 or CORE. Offers a seasonal Evening Program seven nights a week from December through March for up to 30 participants per night. Enrollment begins in early November and requires a referral from a Trinity Center member advocate; open enrollment is not available. Participants meet weekly with an advocate while working toward stable employment and/or housing. Dinner is provided each evening. During weekend checkout, participants receive a bagged breakfast at 6:30 am. On weekdays, participants may return for breakfast when the Day Center opens at 8 am.
