Offers support to youth navigating the juvenile system with diversion classes, Know Your Rights workshops and community service opportunities for court ordered requirements. May be referred through probation counselor, court or parents who need help with their adolescent. Diversion program is 8 weeks and there are three groups throughout the year.

Concord and Martinez routes run Monday-Friday only.

Provides information, referrals, assistance, understanding and hope to persons of all ages with disabilities as well as elderly individuals for the purpose of helping them to live as independently as possible. Services include: advocacy, benefits assistance, housing assistance, employment services, peer counseling services, assistance with independent educational planning (IEPs for school-aged youth), life skills, ADA information, public & businesses education. Referrals and resources are provided for: assistive technology, agencies serving the disabled, transportation, and youth programs. Advocacy services to increase access to services, benefits, and other social services and advising clients regarding their rights. Housing referral services assist clients by maintaining a registry of accessible, adaptable, affordable apartments and houses. Peer counseling is available to disabled individuals, their families, and friends. In depth individual skills development can be provided within the peer-counseling group or on a one-to-one basis. A small lending library of equipment is available.

Recruits and provides foster family certification to enable families to be eligible to provide a crisis home for youth needing a safe environment for youths, ages 0 to 17, who are experiencing crisis while NCFC counselors work with the youth and family to reunite them, or develop mutually agreed upon alternatives. Also provides Long-term Foster care for children referred by Social Services in Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano counties. To be eligible, family must possess the ability to relate effectively to and adequately supervise youth, have space to temporarily house one or more young people, possess the ability to be certified by the NCFC as a Foster Family, and pass child abuse and criminal background checks.

Offers financial assistance to low income kidney patients who are unable to pay for treatment-related needs such as medication, transportation, special diets, etc. Patients obtain applications from their renal or social workers. All calls are anonymous and confidential. The Hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who, through interpreters, can provide assistance in 140 languages.

Operates A Better Chance Work Activity Program (ABC WAP), a community-based organization with funding provided by the Regional Center of the East Bay and the California Department of Rehabilitation. The program, with 55 consumers with a consumer to staff ratio of 15 to 1, is designed to provide consumers with vocational skills and paid work experience that will enable them to work productively and independently.

Offers curb-to-curb transportation in partnership with Lyft. R-Transit clients receive a subsidy to use Lyft for on-demand trips in the cities of Richmond, El Cerrito, North Richmond, El Sobrante, Kensington, San Pablo, and Pinole. RAPID will also expand service to and from the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Veterans hospital in Martinez, CA. Lyft driver is not required to assist passenger. Payment must be made directly to Lyft in form of credit/debit card, or prepaid debit card.

Provides HUD-subsidized independent living apartments, all low income, for seniors 62+.

Offers inpatient detoxification program. Treats voluntary adults ages 18 and up for all types of alcohol and chemical dependency including, prescription medications such as Vicodin, OxyContin, Methadone and Valium and street drugs such as methamphetamines, heroin, cocaine and crack; designer drugs such as Ecstasy and GHB. Services are offered through a detoxification program or day treatment programs.
