Offers an evidence-based long-term home visiting program that helps mothers with their first child. Due to the pandemic all visits are held online. Partners mothers with Public Health Nurses early in their pregnancy and offers two to four home visits per month that continue through her child’s second birthday. Public Health Nurses provide education to help women develop positive health behaviors during (and after) pregnancy, parenting education to support child health, development, and safety. Provides legal services regarding immigration and reunification of families, family reunification, citizenship, battered spouse and child petitions, asylum and deportation defense. Counsels clients on the general legal framework of living in the United States, such as proper documentation for employment, due process, consumer rights and the necessity of auto insurance. Also provides information and referral for persons with questions about immigration. Offers immigrant related workshops for citizenship or DACA renewals.
