Provides mental health treatment, medication, access to primary health care, substance abuse counseling, benefits and resource counseling, supportive housing, vocational rehabilitation, and peer and family member education and support. Program also known as "Laura's Law" is for people with severe and persistent mental illness who need treatment to prevent substantial deterioration of their condition, and who may pose a risk to themselves or others. Contra Costa County has adopted Laura's Law for individuals who decline care or struggle to engage in treatment when offered. Laura's Law is a discretionary state law that allows counties to use the civil court system to supervise care. The court process is only used after every effort has been made to encourage individuals who need treatment to voluntarily participate. Program is not for crisis intervention.

Recruits volunteers to assist organizations with tax preparation. All volunteers are trained. No experience necessary. Bilingual Spanish speakers are needed. Positions available are: Tax Preparer, Screeners, Interpreters and Greeters. All tax preparers and screeners must be trained and certified by the IRS. This training is free but those who attend training must volunteer at a VITA site for the season. All volunteers preparing tax returns or answering tax law related questions must be certified and must take an open book exam. There are two levels to certify in: basic and advanced. All volunteers must take an ethics training and agree to certain standards of conduct set forth by the IRS.
