Provides free services related to child care to parents/guardians and child care professionals in Central Contra Costa County. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Assists disabled General Assistance or CalWORKs clients who are applying for SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or have been denied SSI, with the SSI application process including assisting client with completing the SSI application forms and sending the application to Social Security. Provides free technology training, fitness and wellness classes, social engagement opportunities, and educational programs for older adults. Services focus on digital literacy, healthy aging, financial security, creative learning, and community connection to help adults age 60 and older stay informed, active, and independent.

Provides comprehensive education and job training program. Students choose classes in the areas of Functional Academics, Community Independence, Independent Living Skills, Job Training and Social/Leisure Skills. Addresses the unique needs of adults with Asperger's Syndrome and related disorders transitioning to higher education and/or employment. Program provides a structured and supportive environment for students to develop social skills, increase independence, develop interests, explore resources, participate in the community, and create a social network of support. Clients can apply for CalFresh and MediCal, gather information about childcare and preschool options, record with Reach from Clerk-Recorder's Office, obtain a Covid-19 vaccine, sign-up for library cards, obtain weatherization information, register to vote, and obtain clean slate program information.

Provides mental health brief therapy (16 sessions) to support clients who have experienced a traumatic event or who have had a loved one who experienced a traumatic event, including, but not limited to, domestic violence, community violence, and sexual assault.

Offers opportunities for individuals to gain computer, professional, and life skills for administrative careers. The cohort-based program includes 12 weeks of computer and life skills classes, followed by a 4-month paid internship, job placement assistance, and alumni career support. Recruit for the Administrative Career Training program is three times per year; January, May, and September.

Assists individuals with preparing their homes to sell. Services include cleaning out unneeded items, painting, minor repairs, landscaping, and more. Also provides clean up assistance to individuals impacted by hoarding.

Accepts applications for and provides CalFresh benefits for eligible households. The CalFresh program is a nutrition assistance program in which eligible low income households can purchase food at participating grocery stores with the use of an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that looks like a credit or debit card. Someone can be eligible if they own a home, have no children, are working, own a vehicle, or have no permanent address. Provides volunteer opportunities to adults seeking to serve seniors 50+ with a variety of services ranging in duties and time commitments.

Provides information and referral, family consultation, long term planning, legal consultation, caregiver skills classes, respite programs, on-line services, counseling services, education and training for family caregivers of people with adult onset brain impairing illnesses and frail elders.

Provides housing counseling services, including confidential mortgage default and delinquency counseling to families who are in danger of losing their homes through foreclosure or eviction. Does not provide rental assistance nor filing paperwork for eviction but presents option on how to respond to eviction notice. Offers mediation of tenant/landlord disputes, referrals to tenant organizations, tenant/landlord rights, legal counseling, and fair housing counseling. Trained staff and volunteers receive calls and make outgoing calls, offering an ongoing connection for many individuals who may be lonely, isolated, grieving, depressed, anxious, and/or thinking about death or suicide. Each client receives two interviewing outfits for interviews and a working wardrobe when jobs are obtained.
