Primarily focuses on advocacy for SSI, Social Security Disability, and disability work incentive programs hearings and appeals.

Issues include, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, anxiety, relationship conflict, developmental concerns, prescription management, family communication and parenting issues. We offer two programs: Contra Costa Outpatient Pittsburg and Community Support Program (CSP). Outpatient offers services for mild and moderate psychiatric disabilities including weekly individual and group psychotherapy. CSP offers intensive services for severe psychiatric disabilities including case management, medication management, 24/7 hour crisis line, individual/group/family psychotherapy, housing/education/vocational support, peer support, and dual diagnosis treatment.

Provides DNA testing for a variety of needs including: paternity tests, prenatal tests, immigration needs (relationship to sponsor relative), testing for death benefits (biological relationship), unmarried military with children for death benefit purposes , Social Security benefits (biological relationship testing), veterinary testing for breeding, and forensics testing. Person needing test is directed to a lab within 60 miles of their home to obtain DNA swab which is then mailed to testing center. Serves eligible students with disabilities, including justice involved and foster youth. Supports students in reaching their vocational goals. Students work with vocational rehabilitation professionals and participate in activities that promote exploration and preparation for a thriving career in the workforce. Collaborates with local county resources to provide information and referral services to youth. Vocational rehabilitation services are also available to eligible youth with disabilities not currently enrolled in an academic institution.

Provides empowerment to black fathers by providing 12 sessions of evidence based curriculum in a group or one-on-one setting. Sessions focus on fatherhood skills, parenting/relationship skills, self-awareness, and self care.

Provides acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbs, homeopathy, bodywork, and guided imagery sessions - as well as classes on movement and nutrition. Offers integrative modalities to ease the pain, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, neuropathy and numerous other side effects that often accompany surgery, chemotherapy and radiation for low-income women. Works alongside client's oncologist and primary care physician. Also offer social work assistance, transportation available on a limited basis for client of the clinic to and from clinic appointments, fresh organic produce and, educational workshops.

Provides in-school violence prevention programming and develops peer leadership at all grade levels, through classroom-based services delivered over multiple sessions, and also in ongoing, gender-specific small groups. Age-appropriate topics range from bullying prevention and safe touching, to bystander education, to dating violence, sexual assault and sexual exploitation. Offers self-defense training for women and girls. The Prevention team also works with college campuses to prevent sexual violence, and is available for community training on these topics.
