Provides law enforcement and crime prevention services within the City of Pleasant Hill.

Offers Family-to-Family program which provides mentoring and support to families who are in need of self-sufficiency support through parish based groups. Pairs parished based groups with families working towards self-sufficiency, sustainability and away from the repetitious cycle of poverty.

Provides needs based services which may include; food, utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing and furniture.

Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Family recertifications and eligibility will continue. Provides free services related to child care to parents/guardians and child care professionals in Central Contra Costa County. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Provides public health, behavioral health, adult medicine, addiction medicine through Alcohol and Other Drugs program and homeless services.

Provides identification of ticks and biting or stinging pest samples submitted by Contra Costa County residents. Contra Costa County Residents may send a tick or pest sample to the District’s office at 155 Mason Circle, Concord, CA 94520 or drop the sample off in person. The District’s laboratory staff will identify the tick or other biting or stinging insect and let the resident know the results. If the pest is a tick and the resident wishes to have the tick tested for Lyme disease, the District can provide a list of local laboratories that will conduct Lyme disease testing. Since April 1, 2010, the District no longer tests ticks for Lyme disease that are brought in by the public.

Provides mobile grief response to schools or community agencies after a suicide, sudden, or traumatic death of a student or employee.

Provides objective, science-based information about a wide variety of pesticide-related topics, including: pesticide product information to toxicology and environmental chemistry. Highly trained specialists can also provide referrals for the following: investigation of pesticide incidents, emergency treatment information, safety information, health and environmental effects, and clean-up and disposal procedures.

Offers Great Beginnings program which provides early intervention services to children between the ages of 2 and 3 years old who have been identified as having some type of developmental delay. Program is 5 days per week from 9am to 1:30pm. Program includes interventions and strategies that reflect a respect for racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity, as well as unique family differences.

Provides grant funding for qualified City of San Pablo residents to enroll in career training for construction and carpentry, information technology, barbering, and commercial driver's license. Awards financial aid for City of San Pablo residents enrolled in one of eight Career Technical Education programs at Contra Costa College and partially funds childcare for working residents through the college's Early Learning Center. In addition to funding career training, the San Pablo EDC prepares job seekers to attain and retain employment through free career development workshops, free business attire and financial education. Provides low cost primary health care for adults, teens and children regardless of insurance or immigration status. Services include; immunizations, STD testing, and physicals. Provides comprehensive pregnancy services and well-baby care. In addition to prenatal visits, it includes education and support related to staying healthy during pregnancy, good nutrition, breast feeding, and psycho-social services. Offers Covid testing and vaccination appointments. Clinic offers diapers, formula, baby clothing, baby strollers, basinets, all dependent on donations.

Provides personal, confidential support and information to heterosexual spouses/partners, current or former, of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender mates and mixed-orientation couples or transgender/non-transgender couples for constructively resolving coming-out issues.
