Offers a therapeutic recreation program for teens age 8+ and adults with disabilities. Must register two weeks in advance to ensure proper accommodations. Swimming facility is fully ADA accessible.

Provides Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) counseling for children, adolescents, families and groups age 5 to 21 in home, school or office. EPSDT process is in place to assure that medically necessary health care is received in order to correct or ameliorate a defect, physical or mental illness, or a health condition identified through a screening.

Provides fire suppression, emergency medical including paramedic, rescue, fire/arson investigation, building plan review, code enforcement, public education on fire and life safety, and weed abatement to Antioch, Clayton, Concord, Lafayette, Martinez, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, San Pablo, Walnut Creek, and most unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County. Division is comprised of four Battalions consisting of 30 fire stations. The communications center provides dispatch services for most of the county.

Clients can submit a hearing request at the county welfare office (address shown on the notice of action) or call the toll free line. Clients with GA appeals must contact their worker within 14 days of notice.

Provides 24-hour non-medical detoxification for women. Program includes a 30-90 day residential substance abuse treatment, an ongoing alcohol recovery program, one-on-one planning for recovery from alcohol and drug problems, and AA/NA meetings. The center is licensed and certified by the State of California, offering a social model alcohol detoxification program. Provides residential treatment program for women and pregnant women in the first two trimesters of pregnancy with alcohol and drug-related problems and education and supportive recovery services. Two detox beds available.

Provides outpatient adolescent mental health counseling to Contra Costa County residents ages 0-17 with full scope Medi-Cal. Does not provide psychiatric services.

Provides a community-based approach to help families and communities connect with each other and to learn (or relearn) practices for moving through conflict, reducing violence, and strengthening connections. This program is based on the principles and practices of restorative justice and circles. Offers restorative justice processes, facilitated circles, safe accountability work for people who have caused harm, guidance and resources for support people, coaching and support for gathering, and training and community learning opportunities

Provides an art program for people with developmental and other disabilities which promotes creative expression, independence, dignity and community integration through training in painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, decorative arts and more. The artwork is actively promoted through an exhibitions program and client-artist earn 50% of the sale price.

Licenses skilled nursing facilities, ESRD, primary care clinics, surgical clinics, hospitals, immediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled and in-home health care. Gives information on licensed facilities to the public.

Provides BACN Boutique which is a fully stocked, free boutique filled with baby diapers, formula, children’s furniture, toys, books, clothes, and more for families in need.

Provides gently used toys, games, books and home items. Also provides non-perishable foods, toiletries and diapers. All items are free for individuals and families. Community members can donate items that are gently used.

Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Family recertifications and eligibility will continue. Provides free services related to child care to parents/guardians and child care professionals in Central Contra Costa County. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Provides information, referrals, assistance, understanding and hope to persons of all ages with disabilities as well as elderly individuals for the purpose of helping them to live as independently as possible. Services include: advocacy, benefits assistance, housing assistance, employment services, peer counseling services, assistance with independent educational planning (IEPs for school-aged youth), life skills, ADA information, public & businesses education. Offers behavioral therapy provided by a licensed clinical social worker and psychiatrist. Services includes; individual, family, adolescent counseling, eating disorders, sexual orientation counseling, psychiatric evaluations, Autism therapy and ADHD.
