Homeowners, business owners or any group in Contra Costa County can request the District’s Rat and Mouse service to assist them with rodent issues. During the service, a District employee inspects the exterior of the property and can inspect the inside of a home’s garage as long as the garage door remains up. The District employee will then provide, valuable, detailed information, guidance and recommendations on what the resident or business owner can do to reduce the risk of rats, mice, and the diseases they can transmit through waste products and nesting materials.
