Provides fire suppression, emergency medical including paramedic, rescue, fire/arson investigation, building plan review, code enforcement, public education on fire and life safety, and weed abatement to Antioch, Clayton, Concord, Lafayette, Martinez, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, San Pablo, Walnut Creek, and most unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County. Division is comprised of four Battalions consisting of 30 fire stations. The communications center provides dispatch services for most of the county.

Issues include, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD, anxiety, relationship conflict, developmental concerns, prescription management, family communication and parenting issues. We offer two programs: Contra Costa Outpatient Pittsburg and Community Support Program (CSP). Outpatient offers services for mild and moderate psychiatric disabilities including weekly individual and group psychotherapy. CSP offers intensive services for severe psychiatric disabilities including case management, medication management, 24/7 hour crisis line, individual/group/family psychotherapy, housing/education/vocational support, peer support, and dual diagnosis treatment.

Offers financial support for residential care, tuition for school, weekly therapy, equine therapy, medical, dental and vision care, and other essential needs to CSEC (Commercially Sexually Exploited Children) and youth. The children are enrolled in fully accredited schools with their curriculum adapted to their individual academic level and life goals.

Discovers and assessing all property within the County, produces and delivers an assessment roll by July 1 of each year, values all real property, audits all entities doing business in the County and valuing all taxable personal property, establishes and maintains a set of 11,000 maps for assessment purposes, delineates every parcel of land in the County and provides a public information service to assist taxpayers with questions about property ownership and assessment including proposition 60 which provides for the transfer of property tax base for senior citizens. Additional services include, job readiness placement, on-the-job training, legal services addressing barriers to employment, financial education, debt repayment guidance, behavioral health services and referral, health education workshops, health insurance enrollment and navigation as well as social connections to support in building and maintaining a professional network.

Provides walk-in and call-in direct services for Korean immigrants. Services include a variety of social services; finding and securing affordable housing, buying food, reading mail, public benefits consultation and application assistance. Offers Covered CA enrollment counseling as a Certified Enrollment Entity. Provides mental health counseling and legal immigration citizenship assistance.

Provides funding to help Bay Area homeowners and landlords replace their residence's wood-burning heating device with a qualifying electric heat pump or natural gas or propane fueled device. Offers incentive to help residents decommission their fireplace. Funding for a project can range from $750 up to a maximum of $12,000 depending on the type of project (device) and other qualifying criteria. Website has extensive information.

Grants clients who are experiencing a financial hardship with partial payment assistance for utility, gas, food, furniture, vehicle registration, drivers license fees and others. Grant amounts vary by emergency and need.

Provides groups for bereaved parents to offer emotional support and reassurance to parents who are grieving the death of a child. There is no membership obligation. A quarterly national newsletter is available by subscription. Also has regional and national conferences and local referrals.

Provides a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price. The Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household. After December 31, 2021, modifications to the existing EBB program will take effect.

Operates 365 days a year with 6 full time investigators who are supported by professional staff. Serves as the investigative unit responsible for determining the cause and manner of death on all deaths in Contra Costa County. Medicolegal death investigations are conducted throughout the county on homicides, suicides, accidents, suspicious and unexpected deaths. Other duties include, notifying the next of kin, safeguarding personal property, collection of evidence, processing death certificates and overseeing indigent burials.

Offers free legal information to tenants regarding renters rights, tenant issues and more for Concord & Central County tenants. Hosted by EBASE, Monument Impact and Bay Area Legal Aid. Clinics are held virtually over Zoom every third Tuesday of the month.
