Offers a doula service and a doula training program in Contra Costa County operated through a partnership with Contra Costa County's Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI). Provides a free training program for community members to become doulas. Doula program offers prenatal home visits, prenatal care appointment support, birth planning, labor and delivery support, postpartum home visits breastfeeding assistance, infant care overview/instruction, perinatal depression screening and linkage and referrals to health and social services.

Protects the public from economic loss and distress by actively investigating and arresting those who commit insurance fraud. The Fraud Division acts as the primary law enforcement agency in California for investigating different types of suspected fraudulent Insurance claims including medical, automobile, life and property insurance. Provides a method for consumers to report suspected insurance fraud. It is important to know that notification of insurance fraud may be made anonymously. After-School Tutoring for 1st - 8th, Summer Camp, and High School & Beyond Mentoring year-round. Backpack Distribution during the summer.

Connects people 55+ with people and organizations that need their skills through the Foster Grandparents, Senior Companions and RSVP programs. Helps them become mentors, coaches or companions to people in need, or contribute their job skills and expertise to community projects and organizations.

Offers a variety of exercise/fitness classes for children, teens and adults. Classes include, yoga, tai chi, zumba, and meditation. Classes may fill up fast or may be cancelled depending on registration.

Provides shelter and substance abuse recovery services for women. Services include legal and court assistance, parenting/pregnancy education/support, HIV/AIDS testing and education, job training and support, bible studies, and AA and NA meetings on site. Pregnant women can stay up to a year after the birth of their child.

Offers a free and confidential, non-emergency nationwide bilingual helpline in Punjabi and English, answered by peer volunteers. Supports community members facing threats to health, safety and or security. Creates and disseminates community centered bilingual resources and programming to change social and cultural conditions that allow violence to occur. Offers training and technical assistance to Sikh and non-Sikh organizations at the intersections of faith, gendered violence and community-based solutions.

Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Family recertifications and eligibility will continue. Provides free services related to child care to parents/guardians and child care professionals in Central Contra Costa County. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Provides application assistance with CalFresh, MediCal, CalWorks, and Cash Aid. Assists youth in obtaining a valid identification through DMV.

Provides hotline to obtain information on Medicare coverage, joining, address changes, and health plan options. Medicare replacement cards can be requested online, www.medicare.gov. Website is available in English and Spanish.

Provides Ombudsmen who advocate for residents of long-term care facilities which include skilled nursing facilities, large assisted living facilities and small 6-8 bed residential care homes for the elderly. Receives complaints and concerns from family members of patients and residents themselves, concerned friends and citizens, acute hospital staff and paramedics and government and private agencies. Ombudsmen work with residents to improve their quality of care thru review of care plans and mediating with health care providers. Also, functions as the official reporting and investigation agency for elder and dependent adult abuse incidents occurring in long-term care facilities.

Enforces California laws and regulations pertaining to workplace safety and health, investigates worker complaints and accident reports. Also provides assistance to employers and workers about workplace safety and health issues. American Canyon Cal/OSHA Enforcement Unit district office serves Contra Costa and Solano Counties.

Provides information on health and dental plans in California, costs, benefits and rights, accepts health plan complaints and related information.

Provides reentry service including an assessment of individual's needs to help address barriers, reentry planning, mentor and peer support, system navigation and coordination of resources including, but not limited to housing assistance, education and employment preparation, vocational training and job placement, legal assistance, family and community reunification, etc.

Collaborates with the City of Richmond, other public agencies, nonprofit partners, and civic and private groups for outreach and encampment organizing among unsheltered people across West Contra Costa County. Offers wellness center which provides basic needs services including access to shower, laundry, food, clothing, water, transportation and connections to community resources, and outreach and engagement including trash cleanup. Provides workforce clinic, free classes, for resume and cover letter preparation, and job readiness as well as job search assistance. Employs unhoused individuals to steward neighborhoods and accompany unhoused neighbors on their journey from tent to home. If client does not have transportation, they can contact Neighbor Care line for the SOS Richmond shuttle.
