Discounted Utility Services | Vulnerable Customer Program - PG&E

Helps address the needs of customers whose life or health would be at risk should their electric or gas service be disconnected. Clients can self-certify for vulnerable customer status by downloading, printing the submitting an application. Households with one or more individuals who have self-certified that they have a serious illness or condition that could become life threatening if their electric or gas service is disconnected for nonpayment receive an in-person visit from a PG&E representative before disconnection. The representative posts a notice within 48 hours before or at the time of disconnection for nonpayment.

Provides additional quantities of energy at the lowest (baseline) price to residential customers who qualify with one of these medical situations: dependent on life-support equipment while at home; a paraplegic, hemiplegic, quadriplegic or multiple sclerosis patient with special heating and/or cooling needs; scleroderma patient with special heating needs, life-threatening illness or compromised immune system with special heating and/or cooling requirements to sustain the patient's life or prevent deterioration of the patient's medical condition.
