Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Family recertifications and eligibility will continue. Provides free services related to child care to parents/guardians and child care professionals in Central Contra Costa County. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Provides site-based life skills support groups in Laotian, Mien, Khmu, Thai, and Vietnamese. Offers case management, translation, and counseling services to help individuals assimilate into their community.

Provides door to and through door rides to residents of Lamorinda ages 60 and up and people with disabilities. Takes passengers to errands, shopping, medical and personal appointments, Monday through Friday, and to Cafe Costa at the Walnut Creek Senior Center for lunch Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Provides a program to issue a maximum of $1,500 to eligible participants who have obtained a job or received a documented offer of employment, and need to move closer to work, child care, or public transportation. Or families living in temporary situations who are employed and are in need of permanent housing are also eligible. Produces and distributes "Surviving Parenthood", a resource directory of information and support services in Contra Costa County. The Baby Bag Project, which distributes tote bags filled with information for new parents to participating facilities and home visiting groups throughout Contra Costa County. Any person or organization can also request the baby bag.

Provides a mentoring program for men and women exiting the jail system. Refers individuals to alternative treatment for those with substance abuse issues. Mentors provide housing and employment referrals, self-sufficiency skills training and linkage to various community services.

Supports and empowers people with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and their families to achieve the highest quality of life possible through three ALS Centers of Excellence, satellite clinics, regional care management, alternative and augmentative communication technologies, monthly regional support groups, web-based support groups (English and Spanish), stress reduction techniques, relief for caregivers and children, and a host of community events including walks, rides, golf, and more.
