Responsible for conducting all Federal, State, School, County, City and Special District elections in Contra Costa County. Provides voting information, including voter registration status, polling sites, registration, and other information related to voting. Performs the nomination process for any county office, handles the filing of arguments and rebuttals for county ballot measures, files county initiative and referendum petitions and files campaign statements and disclosure of financial interests for candidates running for a county related office. Can provide current county, state and federal elected officials and their phone numbers by city and/or street address.

Provides prenatal care, pill abortion services, birth control services, emergency contraception, HIV testing, HPV vaccines, LGBT services, men's health services, patient education, pregnancy testing, options & services, STD testing & treatment, and women's health services including breast and cervical cancer exams.

Provides suicide prevention and crisis hotline for Sacramento county residents. Counselors provide 24 hours immediate and confidential support.

Provides medically nutritious meal delivery for individuals with nutrition-sensitive conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, Cancer, Kidney disease, etc.

Offers a free after-abortion talkline that provides emotional support, resources and information to individuals who have had abortions. Support is also offered to partners, friends, allies and family members. All calls are completely confidential.

Provides professional financial guidance, credit counseling, community-wide educational programs, debt management assistance, bankruptcy counseling and education services, and housing counseling assistance to consumers via phone, Internet and in-person sessions at numerous local offices throughout the country.

Works with individuals and families who are experiencing literal homelessness. Provides housing problem-solving and/or one time financial assistance to assist individuals in exiting the homeless system of care. Financial assistance includes security deposit and housing relocation assistance.

Provides needs based services for Pinole residents which may include; utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing and furniture.

Provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire/arson investigation, public education on fire and life safety, and weed abatement to Pinole residents.

Provides mental health services to Medi-Cal and low income Central or South Contra Costa adults. Services include assessment and evaluation, individual and group psychotherapy, medication evaluation and medication management. Specialized services for transitional age youth (18-21) are available.

Supports young adults, between the ages of 18 and 28, who experience or are at risk of experiencing housing and food insecurity. Focuses on chronic homelessness prevention in the youth community. Engages in community outreach and provides rapid resolution and chronic homeless prevention. Service includes, case management, job finding assistance, and resume preparation etc.

Provides a program to issue a maximum of $1,500 to eligible participants who have obtained a job or received a documented offer of employment, and need to move closer to work, child care, or public transportation. Or families living in temporary situations who are employed and are in need of permanent housing are also eligible. Offers a hot noon meal in a seat in dinning room. Offers free groceries including bread, pastries, canned goods, fruits and vegetables as they become available.

Provides a vocational, behavioral program specializing in serving consumers who have in other entry level vocational programs. The program starts with an emphasis on hospitality and entertainment. When consumers feel safe and stimulated, they are open to learning. In overcoming their developmental disabilities, consumers represent the full range of functional and adaptive levels. For some, training may entail acquiring skills in self-control, communication, self-care, cooking and shopping, etc. For others, the focus may be on learning to operate a computer or cash register in preparation for independent employment. Training modalities include delivering Meals on Wheels, janitorial work at a neighborhood pizza restaurant, landscaping at a national park, detailing vehicles, and production work. A Better Chance (ABC) Day Program includes numerous opportunities for social and personal development. The program is supported by the by Regional Center of the East Bay and Golden Gate Regional Center.

Offers a supplemental nutrition program that helps low income pregnant women, mothers with infants, infants, and young children eat well, be active and stay healthy. Provides supplemental food benefits using a WIC card. Offers nutrition and breastfeeding support and education, and referrals to other health and community services. Offers a mobile-friendly application and website at m.wic.ca.gov for clients to find a WIC local agency and WIC grocers.

Coordinates a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which includes police, prosecutors, CFS, and others to respond to allegations of child abuse (primarily sexual abuse) and to connect families to resources. Conducts developmentally appropriate, recorded forensic interviews with children who are suspected or alleged victims of sexual or physical abuse, and also with child witnesses to these and other crimes. Also offers case management and support services to non-offending family members.

Provides financial assistance for children who lack financial support. Families that qualify for ongoing assistance receive money each month for basic needs.

Provides early intervention services for children ages 0-3 with developmental delays or who are at risk for delay, developmental and standardized assessments, weekly home visits by a professional staff of therapists and educators, and parent education and support. Provide intensive early intervention services to children 0-3 with autism spectrum disorders. Provides behavioral support services for school aged children and young adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders ages 3-22. All services are provided in the child's natural environment, including the child's home, family daycare homes, childcare centers, and other community sites (i.e. parks, library). Offers therapeutic services including occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech and language pathology.

Offers one point of contact for callers in case of a disaster.

Maintains a list of Medi-Cal prenatal providers in Contra Costa County. The providers offer an Initial assessment, trimester reassessments, postpartum assessment, interventions and follow-up services in obstetrics, nutrition, health education, psychosocial services, individual case coordination, prenatal vitamin/mineral supplements, and referrals to related services. Approved provider list is available online.

Provides information, resources, and printed materials to protect public health and safety through the control and prevention of disease, injury and disability in the United States. Researches and provides information on infectious diseases, food borne pathogens, environmental health, occupational safety and health, health promotion, injury prevention and educational information including child's developmental milestones and screenings. Website has extensive information including A-Z topics on current health issues and preparedness.

Offers support and education on a variety of issues including leadership engagement opportunities. Services include, time management, money management, networking opportunities and support groups. Participants are encouraged to engage and start a project which will address a need in their community; examples are nutrition, diabetes, psychical activity education, financial education, art or cultural issues. Annually the center coordinates a legislative day in which participants visit legislative representatives in Sacramento.
