Offers volunteer project opportunity for clinical therapists interested in in donating 1 hours pro-bono per week to work via tele-therapy with youth in foster care. Youth are age 12 to 21 and have mild symptoms of depression and anxiety due to abuse and neglect. Sessions are held online in order to ensure that the youth can have ongoing therapy no matter where, or how often, they move within the state. Therapists who donate their time will be matched with one youth and will receive free CEUs for a course on trauma-focused CBT for youth and adolescents, a bi-weekly consultation group, and a HIPPAA Zoom license to conduct sessions.

Provides outpatient methadone and buprenorphine detoxification, outpatient methadone and buprenorphine maintenance, individual and group counseling and addiction services for adult opiate addicted population age 18+, pregnant women and HIV with opiate addiction. Also provides self-help groups such as Methadone Anonymous.

Helps parents of children with special needs find the agencies and resources to support their child's development. Provides technical support and assistance to center staff and family child care providers to facilitate a child's transition into a new child care program. Network for providers, and trained Resource and Referral Counselors assist parents of children with special needs in the search for child care.

Offers FoodShare program which supplies pet food to qualifying low-income pet guardians in Contra Costa County.

Provides hotline to obtain information on Medicare coverage, joining, address changes, and health plan options. Medicare replacement cards can be requested online, www.medicare.gov. Website is available in English and Spanish.

Develops and maintains positive partnerships between the Office of the Sheriff, it's infrastructure partners and other local, state and Federal law enforcement intelligence agencies in order to share critical information to safeguard persons and property. Provides public library services at 26 branches including a diverse selection of lendable materials including, books, eBooks, eAudiobooks, and DVD's. Provides hotline runaway and homeless youth offering shelter options, mediation, information and referral, and phone or in-person counseling. Provides free, immediate help to youth ages 0-17, including immediate housing in a foster home, crisis counseling, family mediation, transportation and referrals. Center is a Safe Place site. If a longer stay is needed, the youth would likely be placed in a foster home for shelter. SAFE Place is not a long-term shelter.

Center serves a a cooling center during summer heat waves for homeless individuals or families.

Assists individuals clean their prior records in order to overcome barriers to employment, housing, education, and public benefits that a prior record can present. Our attorneys and advocates can provide the following types of assistance for those with prior arrests, convictions, or juvenile adjudications in Contra Costa County.

Provides crisis intervention, information and referral to victims of domestic violence, perpetrators, friends and families. Advocates have access to information about shelters and domestic violence programs across the United States and U.S. Territories. All services are free, confidential and anonymous.

Provides warm coat giveaway of new or gently used, clean, warm coats.

Offers a respite care program for homeless adults who are discharging from local hospitals and require medical stabilization services. Respite care refers to recuperative services for those homeless persons who may not meet medical criteria for hospitalization, but who are too sick or medically vulnerable to reside in an emergency shelter and cannot be returned to the streets. Clients are ONLY admitted when discharged from a hospital; walk-ins are not accepted.

Trustline is the only authorized screening program of in-home caregivers in the state with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice, California Child Abuse Index Check and the FBI.
