The District’s laboratory staff will identify the tick or other biting or stinging insect and let the resident know the results. If the pest is a tick and the resident wishes to have the tick tested for Lyme disease, the District can provide a list of local laboratories that will conduct Lyme disease testing. Since April 1, 2010, the District no longer tests ticks for Lyme disease that are brought in by the public.
